A Camera Harness Strap: Neck Strain Not Included

by brin on July 22, 2010

If I’m going to be honest, I have to admit that I didn’t realize someone could buy a camera harness strap and bypass that additional little joy of neck pain that always seems to accompany it. I guess I always thought it was like a packaged deal. You know, like Santa and reindeer, peas and carrots, white on rice. . .

I guess the reason I was so up in the night about this realization is that every single SLR camera I’ve purchased (and I’ve purchased quite a few) have come with the generic, single, incredibly uncomfortable neck strap. It’s like sticking with the wheels from the dealership because a car buyer didn’t realize you can purchase them separately and have a whole new experience. Silly me.

Well, as it turns out, you can.

The camera harness strap, though, is not just a single strap. It actually is a combination of two straps, cleverly put together in order to eliminate the very question of neck pain. There is absolutely no possible way that this camera harness strap I’ve been talking about could come with neck pain.

How do I know that? Because the camera harness strap doesn’t even rest on the neck. You with me on this? It doesn’t even touch the neck! How could the neck be sore when the camera chest harness isn’t even putting any weight on the neck? It can’t. It’s as simple as that.

I’ve included a little informational video right here that talks all about it. It gives all the details, pictures and ins and outs of the whole thing. It’s unbelievable at first, but believe me it’s true. Such a lovely concept that unlike Santa and his reindeer (don’t tell the kids) exists.

Check out this video for the camera harness strap and may your life (and neck pain) never be the same.
